Undergraduates are accepted for 2-4 months work on MS theses.
Bulgarian and foreign
BS and MS owners are accepted for courses of specialization (1-6 months) and
for three-year post-graduate positions (PhD courses) provided the funding is
ensured.
For Bulgarians: In order to gain the respective
state funding, Bulgarian candidates for a three-year post
graduateship should successfully pass an examination according to a
definite procedure (See: PDF
conspectus, PS conspectus).
Usually, this is a procedure of competition between several
candidates for a single position.
For foreigners: Foreign candidates for any position in
CP Laboratory should present CV, and publications (for PhD owners, and for MS
holders who have already published scientific papers). In some cases,
interview or remote questioning may also be required. Foreigners may choose
working languages among English and Russian. However the final discussions of
the research results and the papers are usually in English.
NB: The procedure of funding of foreigners
for MS and post-graduate (PhD and shorter specialization) courses
through Bulgarian sources (Bulgarian state funding and privite Bulgarian
institutions) is quite unclear and unreliable. For this reason,
potential candidates for a temporal training and/or work in CP Laboratory are
advised to apply for a funding to resources as NATO, EC, etc. organisations and
foundations.
